Dazzling Overwatch 2 bug gives Doomfist maximum drip in Season 15

There’s a hilarious new bug in Overwatch 2 Season 15 that’s giving Doomfist more drip than ever before. Amusingly enough, players don’t want Blizzard to fix this one anytime soon.

After weeks of anticipation, Overwatch 2 Season 15 is finally upon us, and this seasonal update is a doozy. From the return of loot boxes to the debut of a brand-new Perks system that fundamentally changes the game, it’s one of the biggest updates we’ve seen since Blizzard pivoted to the sequel.

Of course, alongside all the new and returning features is the usual slate of cosmetics, with Season 15 bringing a new Battle Pass, an exciting Mythic, and even a new weapon skin. It’s the latter of which that’s causing a funny quirk with Doomfist.

While the new Galactic weapon variant is certainly out of this world, it also happens to be out of its own specified area too. Rather than just sticking to weapons, as a weapon skin should, this one is branching out in a hilarious way.

Doomfist goes galactic with dazzling visual bug

The new Galactic weapon variant, available for purchase with your Competitive Points, sits alongside the Golden and Jade themes we’ve known for quite some time. As the newest kid on the block, however, it has some issues out of the gate.

One such quirk was spotted on Reddit, as a player by the name of Finn shared a hilarious visual bug in the game’s menus. When previewing the Galactic skin as Doomfist, with the Saitama skin from the One Punch Man collab equipped, the starry visual applies to his cape as well, not just his fist.

The entire back of the character model gets sent into outer space, or, depending on your preference, can be made golden bright green with the Jade effect too. Unintentionally, Doom gets far more value from equipping weapon variants when this skin is selected.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear if this visual bug makes its way from the menus into the game itself, distracting your opponents with one-of-a-kind capes. Blizzard has yet to address the issue either, so it’s still early days yet as Season 15 gets underway.

That said, players have already been quick on the draw responding to this bug, though rather than being critical, many actually want it to stick around permanently.

“Suddenly one of the best weapon variants,” one player said. “Proper drip for the new face of competitive,” another chimed in.

Far from a damaging bug, it’s nonetheless unintended so expect Blizzard to fix this one in due time. If the players had their way, however, everyone would be flying around the map dripped out with this Galactic cape.
