Overwatch 2’s best hero is making Tanks miserable

Tanks are one of the most important roles in Overwatch 2, but this insanely overpowered hero is making playing them a miserable experience.

Overwatch has a huge roster of heroes, all with different strengths, weaknesses, and counters. However, with each update introducing buffs and nerfs, as well as the new Perks system, there are always going to be certain characters that dominate.

But while most have their time in the sun before being nerfed to become more balanced, Support hero Ana has consistently been right at the top of the meta since was introduced as the first post-launch character back in 2016.

But in Season 15, especially when you throw in her deadly Perks, she’s stronger than ever and it’s making the lives of Tank mains a living hell.

Ana is more OP than ever in Overwatch 2 Season 15

Ana has always been a great Support hero, capable of dealing plenty of damage and healing with her versatility, all without having to get too close to the action. Plus, her Biotic Grenade is a great way to deal with Tanks, as it inflicts damage and stops them from being healed, while Sleep Dart can briefly knock them down and leave them exposed.

This is already a force to be reckoned with in the right hands, but her Perks have taken things to a new level, particularly Biotic Bounce and Shrike. The former lets Biotic Grenades bounce after exploding to hit to make it doubly effective, while the latter buffs her ultimate to give both an ally and Ana herself Nano Boost.

Blizzard

Even if they don’t work for you, Headhunter is also one of the best Perks in the game, as it allows her primary to land critical hits. This transforms her from a meta healer into a great damage healer, able to snipe from a distance and land devastating headshots.

All of this adds up to make Ana the perfect anti-Tank character, no matter which combination you choose. Since she can keep chipping away at your health or prevent you from being healed, all from a distance that most Tanks can’t reach, there’s very little you can do.

Instead, you need to rely on your DPS to dive in and take her out before she becomes a problem. But in heated matches with so much going on, it’s easy to forget about the sniper tucked away in their nest.

So, Ana can easily focus her energy on the Tank and them out with ease, leaving the enemy team exposed and without a focal point.

I’m far from alone in noticing this trend either, as many players have called out Ana on social media. Reddit user ‘HMThrow_away_account’ shared a post discussing the strongest heroes in OW2 right now, and the Support was easily the most popular pick.

“IMO Ana is pound for pound the best hero in the game right now,” said the OP. “Devs must wanted us to experience lore-accurate Ana bc I fear for my life every time I see her on the enemy team. She is terrifying.”

Plenty of other fans responded in agreement, with some even arguing that Blizzard has been playing favorites.

“Ana’s been a monster for the entire lifespan of this game and her perks are laughable at how obvious the devs lean with their favoritism,” said one reply.

Only time will tell if Blizzard decides to do something about Ana’s dominance, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her handed a nerf in the Season 16 update. Alternatively, they could make adjustments to the Perks of certain Tanks to give them more of a fighting chance.
