BlizzardThe voice behind Sombra in Overwatch 2, Carolina Ravassa, got married recently, and the ceremony was officiated by another familiar face – the actor who plays Symmetra.
Although Overwatch is mainly a multiplayer shooter, it features a huge cast of memorable characters. So, after hundreds or even thousands of hours spent in matches, their voices and iconic lines are permanently ingrained in players’ minds.
But this connection doesn’t just exist between the voices of these heroes and the community; it also exists between the actors themselves, as they’ve previously mentioned a “special bond” among the cast.
This was demonstrated as clear as day when Anjali Bhimani (Symmetra) officiated the wedding of Carolina Ravassa (Sombra), with plenty more Overwatch alumni in attendance.
Symmetra actor celebrates wedding with Overwatch cast
On April 21, Ravassa shared a TikTok video full of photos and clips from her special day, where she showed the “Overwatch family” gathered together. Jonny Cruz (Lucio), Paul Nakauchi (Hanzo), Feodor Chin (Zenyatta), and Jeannie Bolet (Echo) were all there for the celebration.
Meanwhile, the ceremony itself was officiated by Anjali Bhimani and Zach Betka, who worked as a writer on Valorant.
“I wanted to share these pictures because they did a great job, Zach and Anjali just killed it,” she said in the video. “We were brought to tears.”
This was followed by photos from the party later that night, featuring some questionable dance moves from a number of cast members.
The video found its way over to the Overwatch 2 Reddit, where players were delighted to see the actors behind some of their favorite characters coming together in real life. “This is so cute!! from coworkers to besties,” posted one happy fan.
“That’s super sweet I love it!” said a second, with another adding: “Why are they the most cutest wholesome VA cast?”
The cast of voice actors is only set to grow bigger over time, as Freja arrived in Season 16 and both Aqua and the unnamed hero 45 are coming in future updates.
