Pokemon Go trainers can catch the Alolan guardian deity Tapu Lele for a powerful Psychic/Fairy-type option. Still, they need to know its best moveset if they want to get the most out of it in PvP and Raids.

The four Guardian Deities are available to catch in Pokemon Go, as they all debuted back in 2022. However, the only one currently back in the game is Tapu Lele.

Those planning on fighting Tapu Lele while it’s back as a 5-Star Raid boss need to know the best movesets they can teach the Legendary, as it currently sits as one of the best contenders for the Battle League.

Best moveset for PvP

One of the best movesets you can teach Tapu Lele in Pokemon Go is Astonish as the Fast Move combined with Nature’s Madness as the Charged Move.

While Confusion used to be better than Astonish, the Ghost-type move has been getting constant buffs lately, turning it into one of the best Fast Moves in the game. Go with it if you want high damage as well as good energy generation.

Nature’s Madness is the signature move for all Guardian Deities, so it should always be their Charged Move. It deals good damage for a decent price, benefits from STAB, and debuffs the target’s Defense stat by 20%.

To round up Tapu Lele’s moveset, you can add Psyshock as a secondary Charged Move. It benefits from STAB, it’s cheap, and that way, you’ll have three different types of moves, offering wider coverage.

Best moveset for Raids

For Tapu Lele’s best moveset in Rad battles, go with Confusion as the Fast move and Psyshock as the Charged Move.

In Raids, it is better to play to just one of your Pokemon’s typing, so in this case, you should go with either a full Psychic or full Fairy moveset. However, as Tapu Lele doesn’t have a Fairy Fast Move, the choice is clear.
