NIANTICA new Dynamax creature is coming to Pokemon Go and is none other than a Gen 2 Legendary! Check all the details for the upcoming Max Battle Weekend so you don’t miss out on Dynamax Entei’s debut.
Following the debuts of the Kanto Birds’ Dyanamax forms, Niantic is also introducing the three Legendary Beasts in their Dynamax forms during the Might and Mastery Season.
Following Dynamax Raikou, it’s time for the Gen 2 Fire-type Legendary, Entei, to make its great entrance with a special Max Battle Weekend. So, here’s everything you need to know about Dynamax Entei’s event.
Max Battle Weekend: Date & time
The Pokemon Go Dynamax Entei Max Battle Weekend will run from Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 6:00 AM until Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 9:00 PM local time.
This means players will have a very small time window to challenge and defeat Dynamax Entei for a chance at capturing it.
Dynamax debut
The Fire-type Legendary Entei will be the second Legendary Beast to get its Dynamax form in Pokemon Go, as Raikou got it first, and Suicune will surely follow.
It’s worth noting that Shiny Dynamax Entei will be available for those lucky – or persistent – players who manage to find one.
DEXERTOEvent bonuses
These are the bonuses that will be active during the Dynamax Entei Max Battle Weekend:
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
- 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles*
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently
- x8 Max Particles from Power Spots
* For this bonus to apply, trainers must collect all the Max Particles from their Nerby Menu first.
Starting April 21, 2025, and up until the end of the event, the following bonus will be active for all players:
- 3/4 Max Particle cost for unlocking and powering up Max Moves
Timed Research
Starting Monday, April 21, 2025, at 6:00 AM local time, a free Timed Research opportunity will be available for all participants.
Those who complete it will earn an encounter with Dynamax Sobble, along with other useful items, including Candy, Max Particles, and more.

Pokemon Go Campfire
Campfire is an app that makes it easier to find Max Battles nearby, as well as other trainers looking for friends to challenge powerful Raid bosses.
