The iconic Festival of Colors event is coming back to Pokemon Go to debut Shiny Bruxish and bring plenty of colorful surprises for trainers, including Shiny Smeargle’s return to Snapshots.
The Festival of Colors has been taking place in March since 2011, and it celebrates the real-world event in Niantic’s game with different Pokemon debuts, Research tasks, Raids, wild encounters, and more.
This time around, it will introduce the very anticipated Shiny Bruxish, along with the return of the elusive Shiny Smeargle, boosted Lures, and a lot of fun. Don’t miss any detail of this particular celebration.
Festival of Colors event: Date & time
The Might and Mastery season is bringing the Festival of Colors event, which will kick off on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM and last until March 17, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time.
During this time, trainers will find a colorful surprise around PokeStops when they get close to them, so keep your eyes wide open!
Shiny debuts
For the first time in Pokemon Go, lucky trainers will be able to encounter and catch Shiny Bruxish.
Moreover – and while not a debut – Shiny Smeargle will be back in snapshots for those who are still looking to add one to their collection.

Event bonuses
During the four days the event lasts, these bonuses will be available for all players:
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.

- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for two hours.
It’s worth noting that Smeargle will appear in snapshots a limited number of times, and Shiny Smeargle will not appear once the Festival of Colors is over – but it might return in the future.
