NIANTICMega Absol is the new headliner for Pokemon Go‘s Might and Mastery season’s upcoming Raid Day, so here are all the event details, including the Paid ticket and new moves.
The Pokemon franchise has plenty of Mega Evolutions available, and since the mechanic was introduced into Pokemon Go, almost all of them have made their way into Niantic’s mobile game.
An all-time fan favorite is, without a doubt, Mega Absol, who’s having its own Raid Day as part of the Might and Mastery season. Get ready for this special event and don’t miss any details, including the Pokemon’s new attack.
Mega Absol Raid Day: Date & time
The Mega Absol Raid Day event is set to take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM local time.
During those three hours, Mega Absol will take over Mega Raid battles, appearing more frequently and with increased chances of being Shiny.
After players challenge and defeat this stunning creature, they will have the chance to catch a regular Absol. They will also be rewarded with Mega Energy to trigger the creature’s special form.
Attack updates – Brutal Swing
Starting with the event and continuing afterward, Absol (and in consequence Mega Absol) will be able to learn the Dark-type Charged Move Brutal Swing.

- Trainer battles: 55 power
- Gyms & Raid battles: 65 power
Event bonuses
During the Mega Absol Raid Day, these bonuses will be active for all players:
- The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM until Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 8:00 PM PDT.
- Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs for a total of six.
- There are increased chances of encountering Shiny Absol in Mega Raids.
DEXERTOPaid ticket
For US$ 5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), players can purchase a special ticket that grants them extra bonuses such as:
- x8 additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs for a daily total of 14.
- There is an increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid battles.
- 50% more XP from Raid battles.
- x2 Stardust from Raid battles.
The ticket bonuses will only be active for the three hours the event lasts. Moreover, trainers can purchase and gift paid tickets to their friends. However, they must have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends – or higher – to do so.

Timed Research
As usual, a free Timed Research opportunity will be available during the Mega Absol Raid Day, too. Players who manage to complete it will earn these rewards and bonuses:
- x10,000 Stardust
- x1,000 additional Stardust for completing a Raid battle (for a total of 2.000 Stardust or 3,000 Stardust with the event ticket)
