Mega Lucario weaknesses in Pokemon Go
As a dual Fighting/Steel-type Pokemon, Mega Lucario is only weak to Fighting, Fire, and Ground-type moves. Therefore, you should bring your most powerful Pokemon from any of these three types to the encounter. Luckily, there are plenty of strong options to pick from.
On the other hand, Mega Lucario has plenty of resistances, including Bug, Poison, Rock, Dark, Dragon, Grass, Ice, Normal, and Steel-type attacks, leaving a large pool of options players should avoid.

How to get Mega Lucario in Pokemon Go
Mega Lucario is returning to Pokemon Go for Mega Raids from March 4, 2025, to March 13, 2025, right after Mega Garchomp‘s time is up.
Keep in mind that you can take on Mega Lucario in 5-Star Mega Raids, however, you won’t be able to catch this mighty creature in its Mega-Evolved form.
Instead, after defeating it, you’ll be given the chance to catch a regular Lucario using the Premiere Balls you’re given – the amount of balls you get will be tied to your performance during battle.
To temporarily Mega Evolve your strongest standard Lucario, you’ll first need to stock up on the Mega Energy you get as a reward for defeating this mighty creature.
How to evolve Lucario into Mega Lucario
Once you’ve caught a regular Lucario in Pokemon Go, you can Mega Evolve it using 200 Mega Energy. This will be the standard ‘price’ for its first evolution.
Once the effect is over, and you want to Mega Evolve it again, the Mega Energy requirement will drop to 40, then 20, and eventually 10.
