With so many Pokemon to catch in Pokemon Go, promo codes shared by Niantic are essential to redeem when they’re made available, as ardent Trainers will always need a few more items to further their quest to catch ’em all.
Codes provide a range of freebies, from special Poke Balls to avatar cosmetics, and even the occasional Timed Research or two. They can only be used once, though, as stated on the Niantic website: “Niantic offers a limited number of one-time use codes during special events or sponsored partnerships.”
Here’s everything you can claim right now in September 2025, alongside those all-important steps on how to redeem them.
Active codes in Pokemon Go
As of September 22, 2025, there are two working codes to redeem in Pokemon Go, both of which provide cosmetics for your avatar:
Code | Reward | Expires on |
---|---|---|
MLBxPOKEMONGO | MLB-branded Cap Avatar item | September 27, 2025 |
FENDIxFRGMTxPOKEMON | FENDIxFRGMTxPOKEMON avatar hoodie | N/A |
Make sure to bookmark this page for all of the latest codes as they become available, as we’ll update the table above with new rewards as soon as we find them.
Pokemon Go’s seasons – the latest of which is Tales of Transformation – also tend to provide methods to claim more free rewards in its schedule of upcoming calendar events, so it’s worth keeping up to date with what’s coming up next.
Free daily boxes
The in-game Pokemon Go Shop has free Daily Boxes that you can claim to make your life a little easier outside of codes and events, too, providing you with handy rewards for filling up your Pokedex.

To find it, head to the Shop and scroll down until you see the Daily Free Box (as shown in the image above). Click on it and then tap ‘Exchange’ to earn some free items, which usually include Poke Balls, with Potions and Berries occasionally appearing too.

How to redeem promo codes
To redeem your codes, regardless of whether you’re on an Android or iPhone, you’ll first need to visit the official Niantic Offer Redemption website. You’ll be given multiple options to log in with: Google, Apple, Facebook, Pokemon Trainer Club, or Niantic Kids.
The credentials will be the same as those used to log in to the Pokemon Go app. The next page to load will allow you to enter the promo code, and if accepted, a message will display telling you the items have been added to your inventory.

Can you enter promo codes on Android & iOS?
If you’ve been playing Pokemon Go on an Android mobile device, you may have noticed the space to enter codes at the bottom of the shop has been removed.
This is because you can no longer claim offer codes from the app, as you now have to follow the route of iPhone users instead, i.e., through a web browser. Niantic changed the way to enter promo codes on Android devices in February 2024.
What are Pokemon Go promo codes used for?
Promo codes in-game typically provide rewards like free Poke Balls, Star Pieces, and some rare items, all the way to exclusive clothing collaborations with brands like North Face and the previous Fendi collaboration. Pokemon are less common, but there have been occasional timed research that can be redeemed, providing encounters with the likes of Regirock.
