NIANTICThe Pokemon Go Stunning Styles event will feature the introduction of all three Paldean Tauros, along with the global debut of the Mythical Marshadow, so make sure you don’t miss out on any detail.
A new event was just announced by Niantic, and it will focus on Pokemon that have different variations, like Paldean Tauros, Castform, Burmy, and more.
Additionally, Gen 7’s Mythical – Marshadow – will be obtainable for every player worldwide. It’s worth noting that this particular Pokemon could only be obtained through the Pokemon Go Fest 2024 exclusive Special Research.
Pokemon marked with an (*) can appear as Shiny.
Stunning Styles event: Date & time
The Pokemon Go Stunning Styles event will kick off on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM and will run until Monday, April 7, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time.
Although short, players should have enough time to finish the Research tasks and get all the featured Pokemon from the event.
Might and Mastery Special Research
The next installment of the Season Special Research story from the Might and Mastery season will be available for all trainers starting at the beginning of the Stunning Styles event.
Those who complete the tasks will earn Golden Razz Berries, Kubfu Candy, encounters with event-themed Pokemon, and more.
This Special Research can be claimed for free up until June 3, 2025, when the current season ends.
Marshadow Special Research Story
Players who still haven’t gotten the Mythical Marshadow will be able to encounter it by following the Special Research story “A Striking Shadow”.
It will be available to all players for free starting April 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time, and lucky ones might even encounter the Mythical in its Shiny version.
Related
This Special Research will not expire, so players can complete it at their own pace. However, those who accessed the Pokemon Go Fest 2024-exclusive Special Research won’t get another Marshadow encounter. Instead, they’ll be rewarded with Marshadow Candy.

Pokemon debuts
The three forms of Paldean Tauros – Combat, Blaze, and Aqua Breed – will debut during the Stunning Styles event to honor the many variations a Pokemon can have in the franchise.
However, as with Kanto’s Tauros, the Wild Bull Pokemon will be region-locked:
- Combat Breed Paldean Tauros will spawn in the Iberian Peninsula.
- Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros will spawn in the Eastern Hemisphere.
- Aqua Breed Paldean Tauros will spawn in the Western Hemisphere.
DEXERTOEvent bonuses
These are the bonuses that will be available for all players during the event:
- x2 XP for catching Pokemon.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny West Sea Shellos and Shiny East Sea Shellos in their respective regions.
Wild encounters
The following creatures will appear more frequently in the wild:
- Castform*
- Sunny Form Castform*
- Rainy Form Castform*
- Snowy Form Castform*
- Plant Cloak Burmy*
- Sandy Cloak Burmy*
- Trash Cloak Burmy*
Keep in mind that the Castform variations will appear depending on the weather conditions.

Here are the Pokemon that will appear as Raid bosses during the Stunning Styles event:

Those who get Rockruff may evolve it into Dusk Form Lycanroc if they’re lucky.

As with every Timed Research, it expires. This means players need to complete the tasks and claim all the rewards before Monday, April 7, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time.
