Pokemon Go is celebrating the Unova region with all its Legendaries returning to the game, so check out how to take down Tornadus Therian Forme in Raid battles using our recommended counters.
The Legendary Forces of Nature trio Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus first appeared in Pokemon Black & White, and it was later revealed in the sequels that each of these powerful Genies had a Therian Forme, which changes both their appearance and stats in battle.
While all of them have been featured in Pokemon Go before, Niantic is bringing them back in their Therian Formes for only one day towards the end of the Dual Destiny season. So, here’s how to defeat the Flying-type Tornadus quickly.
Tornadus Therian Forme weaknesses in Pokemon Go
Unlike Thundurus and Landorus, which both have dual typings, Tornadus Therian Forme is a pure Flying-type Pokemon, which makes planning for this battle a little easier. The Legendary is weak to Electric, Rock, and Ice-type moves, so you’ll want to focus on those when building your team.
As for its resistances, you’d want to avoid using any Bug, Fighting, Grass, and Ground-type Pokemon or moves, as they won’t be of much use during the battle.

Can Tornadus Therian Forme be Shiny?
Yes, Tornadus Therian Forme can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as it was added to the game back in March 2022 and those who take on this Legendary’s Raid will have the chance to find one.

Shiny Tornadus Therian Forme may not be one of the easiest Shinies to spot, as the differences between it and its regular form are quite subtle: the purple details on its claws, wings, chest, and tail just go a deeper purple.
Players after Shiny Tornadus Therian Forme will have to have patience and challenge the Legendary multiple times as the odds of spotting one are quite low and there’s no special method to secure an encounter.
