The TikTok-viral “okay baby,” Preston Ordone, has died at just two years old after a car accident that also injured his parents.

2-year-old Preston Ordone took over TikTok as the viral “okay baby,” due to how cute people thought he was when he said the word.

In one viral video with nearly 45 million views, the child can be seen jumping through mud puddles on the family’s property and thousands of viewers flooding the comments with love for the boy.

On April 24, 2025, Preston Ordone died in a car accident when his parents’ truck reportedly veered off the road and struck a tree.

Preston Ordone died, parents injured

According to E! Online, the Louisiana State Police announced that Katelynn, Jaelan, and Preston were in the truck when the accident happened. All three were taken to the hospital, but Preston died from his injuries.

The couple’s loved ones confirmed the news in a video on Katelynn’s channel, and revealed that their 7-year-old daughter Paisley was not in the vehicle.

“She was at school at the time. She was not in the vehicle,” said Melanie Matranga. “Katelynn has multiple broken bones. She had a very bad concussion. She walked for the first time today. Jaelan had to have emergency surgery on one of his legs.

“He has rods in them, pins in them. They’re both at different hospitals. Preston was removed from the vehicle and brought to the hospital. They tried everything that they could.”

Melanie’s husband, Carson Matranga, also acknowledged the “huge impact” Preston had on viewers around the world.

“He made people smile, laugh, I know you guys look forward to seeing him every day,” he said.

“I know in heaven right now, if there’s mud in heaven, he probably has found it and is jumping and dancing in it. Running up and down the streets of gold. And his overalls. He probably has golden overalls. We’re going to miss him a lot.”

This comes after 6-year-old TikTok star Joules Smith died from cancer back in December 2024.
