The Alien: Earth finale is nearly here, and Episode 8 is set to unveil the true form of another horrifying creature – and it could be even scarier than the Xenomorph.
Noah Hawley’s series is up there with the best Alien movies. It’s creepy, disgusting, and compelling beyond its space-faring horrors, exploring a story that almost feels more connected to Blade Runner than its predecessors.
It remains to be seen whether or not Alien: Earth will connect to Romulus, Predator, or any other entry in the wider series. Plus, the finale still has a lot to answer; for example, why can Wendy communicate with the Xenomorphs, and will the “eye midge” (T. Ocellus) get its tentacles on Boy Kavalier?
Whatever happens, you’d better be seated for Alien: Earth Episode 8 when it comes out, so here’s exactly when it’ll be released.

How many episodes of Alien: Earth are there?
There are eight episodes of Alien: Earth. The first two were released August 12, and the rest will be released individually and weekly thereafter.
As for whether or not Season 2 is on the table, it looks likely. Speaking to Variety in 2024, FX chief John Landgraf teased: “We’re pretty bullish on Alien: Earth and we’ve told [Hawley] that assuming, as we hope, Alien: Earth is a returning television series, we want him to focus on at least writing two seasons of it before returning to a possible sixth season of Fargo.”

What happened in Alien: Earth Episode 7?

Alien: Earth Episode 7 followed the aftermath of Arthur Sylvia getting attacked by a Facehugger, with Slightly and Smee trying to transport his body to Morrow and Yutani’s troops before it’s too late.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan: a baby Xeno burst out of Arthur’s chest and ran into the woods, and elsewhere, Wendy commanded her pet alien to slaughter a wave of soldiers.
We also got some tense scenes with Boy Kavalier and the eye monster. He’s infatuated with it, believing it to possess extraordinary intelligence – and the creature seems to respond to Kavalier in ways it hasn’t acknowledged other humans. Someone is probably going to get their eye popped out in Episode 8, it’s just a matter of who and when.
By the end of the episode, Wendy, Nibs, and Hermit were cornered on a boat as they tried to flee the base, and in a shocking betrayal, Hermit zapped Nibs with his rifle and knocked her out. “What did you do?” Wendy screamed at him, and the episode ended.
Going by the trailer for Episode 8, we’ll see the true form of the plant monster in the finale… and it looks terrifying.
