These 9 hit CBS shows are returning to screens in 2025

Want to know if your favorite CBS show is coming back for the 2025-2026 season? It’s likely been greenlit, with nine hit programs getting renewed.

If there’s a good TV show to tuck into, chances are it’s on CBS. We’re still not over losing Young Sheldon (and George’s death, if we’re being honest), but it’s still giving us the goods as we enter the new year.

The Cooper family mantle is picked up by Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, with other shows like Elsbeth and Fire Country Season 3 routinely pulling in a big number of viewers.

With multiple seasons now coming to an end, CBS has officially announced its slate for the next year – but did your favorite TV show make the cut?

Georgie & Mandy and Fire Country among CBS 2025 renewals

Don’t panic! Georgie & Mandy and Fire Country are leading the charge with brand-new seasons renewed for the 2025-2026 season.

Ghosts joins the ranks for the 2026-2027 season, with Tracker, Elsbeth, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney, and Hollywood Squares also being picked up.

The above shows will follow up with CBS’ already picked-up originals, including Matlock, Boston Blue, and Fire Country spinoff Sherriff Country.

“This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass appeal for broadcast and streaming viewers,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement.

“These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites. In collaboration with our extraordinarily talented partners in front of and behind the camera, we look forward to delivering another successful season.”

Sadly, a few CBS shows didn’t make the cut, including Poppa’s House and The Neighborhood. This doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve been canceled outright, but their fate has yet to be determined.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is currently sitting at 12.9 million in Live+35 Days multi-platform viewership with 11 episodes of its first season still to go, with Ghosts following just behind at 11 million.
