If you were hoping Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 would be getting the greenlight at Marvel, there’s been an exciting update, with news that will no doubt be a relief after the “final season” mixup. It was the right thing to do.
Charlie Cox had everyone in a panic when he referred to Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 as the “final season”. Why? Because the series’ debut chapter was a brutal, thrilling return to form for the superhero franchise.
As we said in our four-star review, “even with its flaws, it’s the most exciting the MCU has felt since the end of the Infinity Saga,” so the thought of it ending so soon was not received well.
Kingpin’s Vincent D’Onofrio stepped in to reassure fans that there was a “good chance” of more, soon followed by Cox confirming that he misspoke. Not only is Season 2 definitely not the last, but a third chapter is on the way.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 gets the greenlight at Marvel
In a conversation with IGN, Marvel Studios’ head of streaming and TV, Brad Winderbaum, revealed that Daredevil: Born Again has been given a Season 3 renewal – and filming is set to begin filming in 2026.
“In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year,” Winderbaum told the outlet. No doubt production will get going after Season 2 arrives on Disney Plus – right now, it’s scheduled to premiere in March 2026.
The news arrives shortly after sources told Nexus Point News that the series will run for at least three seasons, with fans expressing their excitement and hopes for what comes next.

“Hopefully we’ll get Matt in action on the big screen one day, but until then, more seasons are always welcomed,” wrote one, while another said, “More Matt Murdock on my screen!”
A third added, “My dream is Spidey and Daredevil bring down Kingpin for good in Brand New Day. Then in Born Again Season 3, Kingpin (in prison) has a minor role in that he finally leaks Matt’s identity to the press, forcing Matt to go through that whole ‘I’m not Daredevil’ storyline with Danny Rand wearing his costume for a fun bit.”

A fourth chimed in, “They must feel VERY confident with Season 2! I really hope that we will notice the difference in quality with the first and the second season, since it didn’t need to deal with a creative overhaul and will feel more fresh and cohesive.”
