Prime VideoGen V Season 2 will continue the story of the ‘Guardians of Godolkin’, with Marie and co. returning to the campus – and whatever happens will set up The Boys Season 5.
The first season of Gen V ended with Marie, Andre, Emma, and Jordan waking up in a scary, windowless facility after the “bloody incident” – aka, when Cate freed the Woods’ supes and ordered a massacre. Homelander turned up and shot Marie in the chest with his laser vision… but she didn’t die.
Quite a lot has happened since then. After Season 4 of The Boys, Homelander is now one of the most powerful political figures in the US, and Starlight (and her supporters) have been vilified by Vought and the government. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, despite everything they’ve done.
So, why on Earth would Marie and her friends go back to Godolkin? We’ll get answers soon, when Gen V Season 2 premieres on Prime Video.

Gen V Season 2 premieres on Prime Video at 12am PT/3am ET on September 17.
This is the standard release time for Amazon shows (much like when Netflix releases films and series), and unlike Alien: Earth, it means people outside the US don’t need to stay up to the early hours or risk stuff getting spoiled when they wake up in the morning.
