What do Hallmark and The Young and the Restless have in common? Aside from tasty drama, one standout star can soon be seen in both.
Hallmark movies are quite literally the gift that keeps on giving. They’re released weekly and always make us feel good, even if we need to have a humungous cry in the process.
The Young and the Restless has been delivering all the same goods since 1973. Originally focusing on the wealthy Brooks and the working-class Fosters, most of the initial characters are long gone… but that doesn’t mean too much has changed.
It’s probably been a long time coming, but now the classic TV show and streaming service are coming together – and you can see how in a matter of days.
The Young and the Restless’ Mishael Morgan heads up new Hallmark series
That’s right! The Young and the Restless star Mishael Morgan is taking up the main role of Shari in Hallmark’s Hearts Across the Table series, which drops from March 22 on a weekly basis.
Fans will likely know Morgan best as Hilary Curtis and Amanda Sinclair in The Young and the Restless, which made her the first Black actress to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2022.
The best part is we have four movies that interlink, with Shari the sole focus of the second film, Shari’s Second Act.
“Some experiences stay with you forever – filming this project was one of them,” Morgan shared on Instagram. “It was raw, soulful, and filled with so much heart. Grateful for every moment and excited to share it with you all soon!”
Here’s the full release schedule you can expect Morgan to appear in:
