Kaitlin Olson is back as Morgan Gillory in High Potential Season 2, and if you’re adding it to your watchlist, you’ll need to know exactly when new episodes are dropping on ABC and streaming on Hulu.
Taking a leaf out of Slow Horses’ book, the hit series has returned exactly one year after Season 1 debuted. This quick turnaround was no doubt accelerated by the source material – High Potential is based on the 2021 French-Belgian series HPI.
In the US remake, we follow Morgan, a single mom and cleaning contractor for the LAPD who also happens to have a genius-level IQ of 160. This makes her a high-potential intellectual, aka an HPI, and it also lands her a gig as a civilian consultant.
Season 2 Episode 1, ‘Pawns’, wastes no time in raising the stakes; Morgan’s still grappling with the news that Roman is alive while also trying to keep her family safe from the Game Maker.
What time are new episodes of High Potential Season 2 out?
New episodes of High Potential Season 2 premiere on ABC on Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT. As for streaming, they’ll be dropping the following day on Hulu, but here’s the deal: ABC shows typically land on Hulu at 12am PT/3am ET.
However, these timings aren’t set in stone, so it’s best to keep tabs on the app to see when they land. Either way, they’ll definitely be there on or around that time the day after their ABC premiere.

The titles and descriptions for the first three episodes have been released so far, which you can check out below:
- Season 2 Episode 1 – ‘Pawns’
- While working tirelessly to shield her family from the Game Maker’s threats, another crime drags Morgan back into his game and the LAPD must decide whether to trust her instincts before the next move turns fatal.
- Season 2 Episode 2 – ’Checkmate’
- As the Major Crimes team seeks answers amidst a string of unresolved crimes, Morgan suspects the Game Maker is responsible. Meanwhile, Daphne and Oz set out to find Roman, and Elliot prepares a surprise act for his school’s talent show.
- Season 3 Episode 3 – ’Eleven Minutes’
- When a man with a troubled past is killed under mysterious circumstances, Morgan and the LAPD uncover a tragic motive behind his death. Morgan opens up to Ava about her father, forcing Ava to confront truths she isn’t ready to face.

Speaking about the show ahead of its Season 2 premiere, showrunner Todd Harthan spoke with Deadline about the Roman mystery.
“That’s the main artery of Season 2, so what we definitely have an appetite for over here is giving the audience some more answers to the big questions that we’re all asking, filling in some of those blanks,” he said.
“We have a good batch of episodes this year to sort of tell that story, so it’s coming. And there’s some things in the first half before we go on our mid-season hiatus that I think are going to be pretty revealing, pretty exciting.”
