There’s a simple way to watch The Wolfpack documentary for free

The Angulo brothers in The Wolfpack documentary

While there’s plenty of new documentaries coming to streaming this week, focus has turned to the 2015 title The Wolfpack. If you’re interested, it’s available to watch for free right now.

2015 was the year that sparked the true crime boom, compounded with growing interest and the rise of streaming. Making a Murderer made its debut on Netflix, The Jinx left audiences’ jaws on the floor, and Going Clear placed renewed focus on Scientology.

It was also the year The Wolfpack introduced the world to the Angulo brothers, and vice-versa. Filmmaker Crystal Moselle spent four years with Bhagavan, Govinda, Narayana, Mukunda, Krsna, and Jagadesh Angulo, six siblings who learned everything they knew about the world through movies.

The Wolfpack is one of those once-in-a-lifetime, stranger-than-fiction stories, with the documentary portraying the brothers’ forced isolation, their eventual freedom, and their unique relationship with the outside world.

Following the release of The Wolfpack, the Angulo brothers moved out of the New York apartment where their father, Oscar Angulo, kept them confined from the outside world.

According to The New York Times, by 2015, they had found jobs, friends, and social media, and they have since forged their own lives in the years that followed.

Krsna and Jagadesh changed their surnames to their mother’s maiden name, Reisenbichler, and they also go by Glenn and Eddie, respectively.

The outlet states that Bhagavan went on to teach Jivamukti yoga and pursued dancing at the Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory. Govinda found work as a freelance camera assistant and director of photography.

Narayana followed his passion in environmental activism, and worked with the New York Public Interest Research Group.

Mukunda, the first to defy his father’s orders and step outside (wearing a Michael Myers mask), became a cameraman and made the short film Mirror Art.

Many continue to work in the fields they pursued, with Govinda’s IMDb page showing he was involved in the production of a recent true crime title: Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini. Mukunda’s latest project was the 2024 mini-series Churchill at War.
