How to watch Karma, the new Netflix K-drama that’s being compared to Squid Game

One of the characters in Karma takes a meeting in an office.

Karma is a new Netflix K-drama about fate and destiny – here’s everything you need to know about the show, including details of when you can watch, who is in it, and what the series is about.

Karma shares much in common with Squid Game, being a Korean thriller that stars Park Hae-soo and starts out as a tale of financial hardship and the desperate lengths people will go to survive.

But then it goes in a very different direction, having more in common with the interconnecting stories of Pulp Fiction or Magnolia, just with a very Korean spin. Meaning lots of revenge and retribution, with Park Chan-wook’s vengeance trilogy also a clear influence.

The series launches on Netflix this week, so here’s all you need to know in advance of your next streaming obsession.

Karma is about how the lives of six disparate characters interconnect in ways that ultimately seal their respective destinies. Here’s how Netflix describes the show:

“Karma follows the intertwined lives of six characters whose fateful decisions plunge them into a relentless cycle of retribution.”

Each episode mostly focusses on a single character, though they overlap as they start influencing each other via crimes, mistaken identity, and double-crossing, all of which builds towards an almighty Episode 6 comeuppance.
