Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday reveal had a Fantastic Four Easter egg you definitely missed

A total of 26 cast members for Avengers: Doomsday were confirmed in Marvel’s five-hour long livestream. But did you catch the split-second Easter Egg for The Fantastic Four?
Let’s not get too excited – Doomsday might now be in production, but it won’t hit the big screen until May 1, 2026. Even so, we know a whopping 26 names that will be included… and if Marvel is to be believed, that’s not everyone.
It’s wishful thinking to get any further cast announcements before our Avengers return, but we’ve got more of the MCU to see before that. Both Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps are next up, with characters from each set to take on Robert Downey Jr.’s Dr. Doom.
However, it’s the Storm family who we should be keeping an eye on right now. Or, more specifically, something the Doomsday reveal did in honor of one of them.
Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday reveal had secret Johnny Storm Easter egg
Given we sat through five and a half hours of chair reveals, it’s easy to see why you’d have missed an Easter egg for Fantastic Four’s Johnny Storm – played by Joseph Quinn – right at the end of the livestream.

As Downey Jr. arrives to unveil all of the cast’s chairs in one empty studio, there’s a strategically placed sign on the wall. Hovering over Quinn’s chair is a sign that reads “Fire Perimeter: Keep Clear.”
Why? Because Johnny Storm is the Human Torch, of course! He can engulf his entire body in flames, fly, absorb fire harmlessly into his own body, and control any nearby fire by sheer force of will.
You might think this is just a really cool coincidence, but after fans picked up on it across social media, Marvel’s social guru Greg Dunbar (an apt name, IYKYK) confirmed it was intentional. “Someone noticed!” he posted on X/Twitter.
“Been reading the comments on IG to see if someone noticed! Lol,” one fan replied, with another weighing in, “Nice play of words.”
Of course, we’ve yet to see just how Quinn’s version of Storm wields his power, aside from a few brief seconds in the Fantastic Four trailer. You might remember we’ve also seen another version of the Human Torch in the last year, with OG actor Chris Evans having a cameo role in Deadpool & Wolverine.
