Whether it’s Blue Eye Samurai or Dandadan, Netflix has made itself the place to be for streaming anime. My Happy Marriage has been on our screens since 2023, and we’re reaching the final leg of its second season.
To bring you up to speed, the new TV show follows Miyo, whose abusive family deems her worthless. Thanks to her powerful husband-to-be, her “true self and hidden powers begin to shine.”
Essentially, it’s a romance for the ages – and it really might be for the ages if the Season 2 schedule is anything to go by. Episode 12 has been delayed for the strangest reason, and that’s not amazing news for Episode 13 either.
Why is My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 12 delayed?
According to Netflix’s anime team, My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 12 has been delayed due to unspecified “production delays,” according to a statement.
NetflixIt reads, “Notice of episode delay. We regret to inform that Episode 12 of My Happy Marriage Season 2 has been postponed due to production delays. We apologize for the delay and will announce the streaming schedule as soon as it is confirmed.”
Fans were expecting to watch it on March 24, 2025, in line with its weekly release schedule. However, there is now a confirmed re-release date for what we’ve missed: March 31.

It’s not amazing news for Episode 13 or the Season 2 finale
While we’ve finally got a date for Episode 12, there is currently no confirmed release for Episode 13 – the penultimate episode – at all. Therefore, the same can be assumed for the season finale.

NetflixGiven fans have just experienced an unexpected delay this week, there’s nothing to say there won’t be more to come between now and Season 2. The problems seem to have come from studio Kinema Citrus directly, which Netflix hasn’t revealed more about.
The potential wait has fans concerned. Considering there’s a lot of amazing anime out there to be binged this month, not bringing My Happy Marriage to a swift conclusion could mean it gets lost in the fanfare.
One fan posted on Reddit, “Hopefully the series finishes without waiting too long for the final episode. I was hoping to put it behind me the moment the next season starts. There’s A LOT of shows to follow next round.”
“With next week’s episode being delayed to March 31, I do wonder what’s going to happen with the final episode with its TV slot being taken and the supposed production issues behind the scenes. Will we receive news about the finale getting delayed next?” a second weighed in.
The streaming service has yet to confirm said release dates, which will hopefully happen after Episode 12 has aired.
