Netflix announce new true crime documentary about two of the most prolific serial killers in history

A new documentary series about British serial killers Fred and Rosemary West is heading to Netflix.
Netflix is casting a light on British crime, with the streamer investing in multiple projects about murder and misdeeds in the UK.
A documentary and a drama about the killing of Rachel Nickel are both currently in production, while following the success of 2022 documentary Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story, Netflix is also making a series about two of Britain’s most infamous serial killers.
Fred & Rose West: A British Horror Story will launch on May 14, 2025, and detail the couple’s heinous crimes across three episodes.
Fred & Rose West: A British Horror Story will feature unseen footage

Fred & Rose West: A British Horror Story will play out over three instalments, with the first focusing on Fred, the second on Rosemary, and the third on their trial.
The documentary will feature exclusive access to previously unseen police videos and unheard audio recordings, as the show details how Gloucestershire police located and unearthed the remains of their victims and then built a case against the couple.
The families of some victims will be speaking for the first time in the show, giving insight into their ordeals.
The documentary is produced by Dan Dewsbury, who told Deadline: “Making this series has been a huge undertaking for our team. Getting access to never before seen video, never before heard tapes, access to people who have never previously spoken about the case, whilst also balancing the sensitivities of the families, after decades of quiet heartbreak and strength, has been inspiring to be part of.
