Peacemaker Season 2 ‘Earth X’ theory may reveal shocking truth of alternate dimension

Chris appears to have found “the best dimension ever” in Peacemaker Season 2, but the truth of what’s going on could be more disturbing than anything in the DCU.

In the opening episode of the new season, Peacemaker stumbled into an alternate dimension with some big differences; specifically, his dad isn’t a racist, his brother is still alive, they fight crime together as The Top Trio, and he was in a relationship with Harcourt.

Episode 3 pushes it further, with Chris assuming the life of his alternate self (after accidentally killing him). Crowds cheer as he drives around town, and one kid even cries with overwhelming joy when he speaks to him. It’s what he’s always wanted: to be recognized as a superhero, not an edgy vigilante.

Is it that simple? There are infinite worlds out there; it’s feasible that a universe could tick all of Peacemaker’s boxes. However, there may be a big twist on the horizon.

Why fans think Peacemaker Season 2 is hiding ‘Earth X’ reveal

Tell me something: out of everyone we’ve seen in Peacemaker Season 2’s alternate dimension – whether that’s Chris’ dad and brother, Harcourt, or the hundreds of background actors – have any of them been anything other than caucasian?

Everyone is white. There hasn’t been a single person of color. Sure, it seems like Chris’ dad isn’t a racist – but what if there isn’t anyone for him to be racist to? What if… white people are supreme and other races have been completely wiped out?

It’s a dark theory, but there is precedent for it. Namely, Earth X is a parallel universe in the comics where the Germans won World War II. This would explain how Chris’ dad and brother pronounced Blüdhaven, and it could pave the way for a Nazi variant of other DC heroes. Gunn teased a “really big” cameo – what if we get Nazi version of David Corenswet’s Superman?

Crucially, this would tee up a nail-biting inevitability: what happens when Chris brings Adebayo to the alternate dimension?

“They are definitely white supremacists and are being cheered & honored for it. Wait until Adebayo arrives in the universe,” one user posted.

“There’s no diversity or Eagly. Which would mean US lost WSII & Nazis took over. That’s why white dragon is celebrated. The prisoner Flag will visit at Belle Reve is GI Robot. GI & PM will team up & take out the Nazis in Earth X,” another viewer theorized.

“The theory that the other dimension is Earth X is definitely real because there are too many things pointing to it and I definitely don’t want David’s Superman cameo if it’s going to be Earth X Superman,” a third wrote.

Gunn purposely held back the final three episodes of Season 2 because he didn’t want any spoilers to leak – could this be the big reveal he’s trying to protect?
