HBO MaxPeacemaker Season 2 Episode 5 will take the show towards uncharted, secretive territory, with Chris heading towards a long-awaited face-off with Rick Flag.
Before its release, critics got to see and review the first five episodes of Peacemaker’s second season. This isn’t uncommon; episodes that contain major spoilers are sometimes held back, with journalists getting to see them a couple of days in advance, rather than months ahead of their premiere.
This is a bit different, though. James Gunn has admitted that he’s so protective of everything that happens in Episodes 6-8 that he hasn’t even let his publicist watch them, and it’s unclear if anyone will get to see them before they air.
What is going to happen? Well, Episode 5 will hopefully give us more of an idea – so you better not miss it.

Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4 will be available to stream on HBO Max at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Thursday, September 18.

There are eight episodes in Peacemaker Season 2.
One episode is being released per week, with Gunn telling his social media followers that “the anticipation and conversation around dropping an episode week to week is part of the fun.”
What happened in Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4?
HBO MaxPeacemaker Season 2 Episode 4 revealed the origins of the Quantum Unfolding Chamber. In short, it belonged to an alien creature that Chris’ dad killed when he was a child.
For most of the episode, Chris was on the run from A.R.G.U.S. (thanks to a tip-off from Economos), legging it through the woods and even scrapping with Judomaster along the way.

Economos also prevented Red St. Wild from killing Eagly – however, later in the episode, he discovers Eagly is the master of eagles, and he believes it’s his destiny to kill him.
With Adebayo’s help, Chris manages to transport the QUC entryway to another location before Sasha Bordeaux and co. finds it.
Chris wants to go live in the other dimension, but he wants to know something from Harcourt before he leaves, so he texts her to arrange a meet-up. Little does he know, it’s a trap, with Harcourt agreeing to help Rick Flag in exchange for her ‘blackbooked’ status being lifted.
