Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 6 needs to answer 2 huge questions

Harcourt and Chris in Peacemaker Season 2

Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 5 ended on a jaw-dropping note, with Chris abandoning his world for the other dimension – and Episode 6 has two big questions it needs to answer.

Chris had a rough time in the latest episode of Peacemaker. He risked his life to ask Harcourt if she had any romantic feelings for him, only for her to knock him back (again) and out (literally).

He also got a long-awaited beatdown from Rick Flag, and by the end, he felt so useless in his own universe that he decided to leave it.

Here’s the thing: for everyone watching Peacemaker (fans and critics alike), we’re into uncharted territory. Apart from James Gunn and other select people at DC, nobody knows what’s coming.

Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 6 needs to address 2 things

The skull dimension in Peacemaker

Firstly, Episode 6 needs to address one of the weirdest moments in the trailer: the glimpse of an apocalyptic dimension with giant skull spiders.

Simply put, what happened there? Is it home to any other DC characters? Is it based on something from the comics? Will they walk in there, or will they just look at it from the Quantum Unfolding Chamber’s door? The latter seems more likely, as we’ll probably see Harcourt and co. explore the QUC until they find Chris’ new home.

Secondly (and this is a big one), what is going on in the other dimension? There’s a theory that it’s actually a version Earth X, where the Nazis won World War II. At the very least, it needs to explain why everyone appears to be caucasian; could the reason that Chris’ dad isn’t a racist be that there isn’t anyone to be racist to?

We also know there is some big stuff coming next week, because Gunn won’t let anybody watch it (or Episodes 7 and 8). “It could mean they’re terrible,” Gunn told Brandon Davis.

“That is one option. Or it could mean that there’s a lot of major twists and turns in the last three episodes. And even though I’m sending the first five to a select few, things still get out as you know. Things got out already.

“You know, people who want to search can be spoiled on purpose, but I really don’t want what’s in those last three episodes to be spoiled. And so I’m keeping them close to the chest. I won’t even let my publicist see them. That’s the god’s honest truth.”
