After Amazon’s takeover of the James Bond franchise, an exciting rumor claimed that Pierce Brosnan may return for one final movie. Now, the actor has addressed the possibility.
It’s been nearly four years since Daniel Craig’s record-breaking tenure as 007 came to an end in No Time to Die (as it turned out, there was time to die).
We still don’t know who the next James Bond is going to be (despite Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s longtime connection to the role). However, there has been one big development: Amazon bought out Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and took complete creative control of the series.
Amy Pascal and David Heyman have also been tapped to produce the next era of Bond. Unfortunately, don’t get too excited about the prospect of Brosnan reprising his iconic role.
Pierce Brosnan rules out James Bond return and supports Aaron Taylor-Johnson

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show to promote Paramount Plus’ MobLand, Brosnan said: “No one’s spoken to me about it. I’ve heard all of the rumours. Listen, they know where to find me. Let’s see where the wind takes us.”
That sounds like there’s a chance… except, not quite. “It’s going to be another man’s job,” he confirmed.
“I’m not looking to go there. I’m quite happy with my career. I’ve done it, it was wonderful. Delightful kind of notion to contemplate.
“He’s with me for life. It was great. A magical time in my life. It opened a lot of doors and allowed me to go off and form my own company and make my own movies – The Thomas Crown Affair, The Matador – it gave me access to a whole other world as an actor, employment.”

It’s unclear if Taylor-Johnson is still in the running to be Bond, but Brosnan said he’s “impressive.”
“I think he would make a very fine Bond. He was actually in one of the movies I made called The Greatest. This young man we cast as The Greatest,” he continued.
“He was so impressive then. He just had this charisma, he had this presence … so he would be good. But there’s many men on the list, I’m sure.”
