The show drops weekly in the US on Peacock, while it screens on Sky in the UK, with the Poker Face release schedule here. Whodunnit in Poker Face Season 2 Episode 1?

Amber (Cynthia Erivo) dunnit in Poker Face Season 2 Episode 1, first killing her mother Norma, then murdering Felicity Price, the sister she never knew she had.

The former child star – who played the same character as her three twin sisters in a TV series called ‘Kid Cop Nights’ – kills Norma by giving her a drug overdose, then watching her die.

She murders Felicity by throwing her off a cliff, then places her on train tracks so the lifeless body can be hit by a train, for reasons that will become clear below…

What’s Amber’s motive in ‘The Game is a Foot’?

Amber has multiple motives, including anger, resentment, and greed.

She kills her mother due to years of emotional abuse. Norma was a ruthless stage mom who pushed her daughters into showbiz, made them work nights, pitted them against each other, drove them to drink, and took “every cent” that they earned.

Amber has been taking care of Norma – who is gravely ill – then discovers she’s getting none of her inheritance, with the money going to mystery sister Felicity, which is half her motive.

But Amber is also jealous of Felicity’s success as an artist, telling her: “You have everything I want. Everything I deserve.” She therefore decides to bump her off and masquerade as Felicity, giving Amber a second reason for wanting Price out of the picture.

How does Charlie catch her?

Charlie catches Amber through her lie-detector skills (as ever), and because of Felicity’s missing leg.

Amber has no idea that Felicity has one leg when she throws her off the cliff, which is why she then moves her dead body to the aforementioned train tracks.

But while she’s pretending to be Price, Charlie catches Amber out in multiple lies, while the truth is then revealed when she leafs through a pamphlet of Felicity’s art, and sees that it’s all themed around the word “foot.”

Charlie points the finger at her, but Amber reveals wood on her leg, which nearly saves her skin. Charlie then notices a decorative star on the wood, grabs a pointy Latvian Critic’s Award, and drops it on said appendage.

There’s a lengthy pause before blood starts gushing, and the game is no longer afoot, with the mystery solved and Amber arrested for both murders.
