Following the death of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk, Comedy Central has cancelled a scheduled rerun of South Park Season 27 Episode 2, ‘Got A Nut’.

On Wednesday, September 10, Kirk was giving a talk at the Utah Valley University as part of his ‘American Comeback Tour’ when he was fatally shot in the neck.

At the time of writing, the killer has not been identified, but the FBI have found what is believed to be the weapon used to carry out the shooting as well as “good video footage” of the suspect.

Kirk was a staunch supporter of the MAGA movement and founded the right-wing youth activist organization Turning Point USA. Prior to his death, he became the subject of a recent South Park episode.

While Comedy Central was due to air reruns of South Park Season 27 Episodes 1-4 on Wednesday, the second episode was pulled from the schedule after the shooting due to its content.

The episode, ‘Got a Nut’ – which premiered on August 6 – sees Cartman competing with Clyde by mimicking Charlie Kirk at South Park school, becoming a “master debater” and applying similar tactics used by the MAGA influencer.

Alongside this plotline, Mr. Mackey loses his job as the school councillor and ends up joining ICE raids, while the Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem shoots Krypto the dog.

The parody stirred up controversy with the right wing community even before Kirk’s death, although Kirk himself shared a clip of the episode alongside the caption, “Not bad, Cartman.” He also told Fox News that it was a “badge of honor.”

Future reruns of ‘Got a Nut’ have also been pulled from Comedy Central’s schedule. However, it is still available to stream on Paramount+.
