For the best part of the last year, we’ve been left wondering if Sully died in the Shandon diner fire. While the binge-worthy TV show’s marketing heavily suggests one outcome (more on that later), there’s no official answer.
We’ve been left with Virgin River and Ransom Canyon in the meantime, but now it’s finally time to head back to Nova Scotia.
But when can we actually tune into Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3 Episode 1? There are two parallel release schedules on the go, so here’s which one you need.
Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3 Episode 1 release date and time
Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3 Episode 1, titled ‘New Beginnings,’ will air on May 7, 2025, on The CW at 8pm ET.

For UK viewers, episodes have usually dropped at 12am. If you want to catch Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3 premiere at this time, you’re going to need a VPN for the job (it won’t be available to stream immediately, but more on that later).
Season 3 Episode 1 runtime
An official runtime hasn’t been revealed yet, but we can expect Season 3 Episode 1 to clock in at around 45 minutes.
The CWAll previous episodes so far have been between 40-45 minutes, and there’s no reason for anything to change during the home stretch.
If any episode of Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3 is going to be significantly longer, it will be the season finale – which is Episode 10, for those not keeping up.

The most obvious plotline for Season 3 Episode 1 to pick up is whether Sully has survived the fire – but there’s also plenty to unpack in Maggie and Cal’s will-they-won’t-they relationship.

The CWShandon’s Diner exploded at the end of Season 2, with Sully still inside. But while he was definitely rescued, we’ve got no idea if he actually survived. If he didn’t… well, that’s going to be a short storyline. But if he did – and the Season 3 trailers so far strongly suggest this – we could see Sully shacked up in hospital for a while to come.
Maggie and Cal also need to deal with the problem of Andrew. Though it looks like the pair will go their separate ways, Andrew has undeniably caused a problem for Cal – but can the couple get things back on track?
