The Chosen: Last Supper has just arrived in cinemas with Part 1, and if you’ve already watched the first two episodes, you’ll already be keen to see what happens in Part 2.
Last year, The Chosen grossed over $38 million worldwide with its theatrical release of Season 4, bringing the show’s total haul to nearly $60m.
That is an extraordinary accomplishment for a series that started as an independent, crowdfunded project. Now, Dallas Jenkins has Amazon’s backing with a Prime Video deal, and the fifth season is being rolled out in cinemas across the world.
Part 1 premiered in US cinemas today (March 28), and I have good news: you won’t have to wait too long to watch Part 2.
The Chosen: Last Supper Part 2 release date

The Chosen: Last Supper Part 2, the second batch of Season 5’s episodes, will be released in cinemas on April 4, 2025.
Unfortunately, if you’re based in the UK or elsewhere outside the US, you’ll need to wait until April 10 to watch Part 1… and Parts 2 and 3 aren’t even being released in cinemas.
How many episodes are in Part 2?
There will be three episodes in The Chosen: Last Supper Part 2, with a total of eight episodes in Season 5.
It’s unclear how long they’ll be (Episode 1 was just over an hour, while Episode 2 was closer to 50 minutes), but given The Chosen has had episodes run as long as 100 minutes, it’s likely they’ll be anywhere between 50-90 minutes.
Is The Chosen Season 5 Part 1 on streaming?

No, The Chosen Season 5 Part 1 isn’t available to stream… yet. Season 5 is expected to come to Prime Video sometime in June.

“As part of this deal, in exchange for what Prime Video is bringing to the table, it will get the first exclusive streaming window after the theatrical release. So, for 90 days, it will be on Prime Video in the US,” Dallas Jenkins explained in a livestream.
“So, after the season finale, there’s 90 more days, and then it will be in The Chosen app.”
How did Part 1 end?
The Chosen Season 5 Part 1 ended with Jesus cleansing the temple, putting him at odds with Caiaphas even more – but, more importantly, it’s put a target on his back.
Shortly before this scene, Herod and Caiaphas plotted Jesus’ death. “Jesus is tearing the populace apart. Now, unless you want to alienate your subjects further, tell them to wait for Jesus to mispeak and incite the ire of Rome… and then they can take care of him before they feel the need to care of us,” Caiaphas explained.
Soon after, Jesus walked into the temple, took out his whip, and started flipping tables and freeing animals from their pens and cages.
“Look at what you’ve done to my father’s house… den of thieves,” he shouts.
Soon, everyone knows; all of his apostles, Pontius Pilate, and Caiaphas, who watches from the temple’s steps. “What have you done?” Judas whispers, and the episode ends.
