It’s clobberin’ time! The Fantastic Four: First Steps just got its final trailer, bringing with it a new look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Galactus.
In a matter of weeks, Marvel’s first family will be making their MCU debut, with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn leading the cast, taking on the roles as Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm.
The hype train is reaching full speed, with a previous trailer giving us a first look at one of Marvel’s most powerful characters, the Fantastic Four popcorn buckets causing excitement, and tickets going on sale and promptly breaking a 2025 record.
As well as our leading family, Julia Garner is taking over as Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson will be stepping in as big bad of the new movie, Galactus – the planet-eating villain who looms larger than ever.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer reveals Galactus threat
In the new trailer, Silver Surfer arrives before the Fantastic Four where she ominously announces, “I herald his beginning. I herald your end. I herald… Galactus.” We then see new footage of the cosmic devourer, and it’s safe to say it leaves the family (and the rest of the planet) worried.
Fans have been reacting with excitement to the new look, with one writing on X/Twitter, “A sneak peek at Galactus and he looks phenomenal.” Another said, “The SCALE and SCOPE of Galactus is INCREDIBLE. You can just see how menacing of a threat he’s going to be!”
A third added, “They showed just enough of Galactus to without showing him to get me even more hype. Love the clobbering time jokes.”
Others are concerned that the gang will be able to defeat Galactus too easily. “They better not defeat Galactus in one movie istg,” said one, with another adding, “My only concern is that Galactus gets nerfed… I pray he appears in the Mutant Saga.”
