According to the credits for The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 1, Rebecca Ferguson plays the Stalker – but there’s something you should know.
The second season of HBO’s The Last of Us has tapped some big names. In Episode 1, not only does Catherine O’Hara make her debut as Gail (who’s been created exclusively for the show), but we’re introduced to Kaitlyn Dever as Abby.
We also meet Isabela Merced’s Dina, and we’re reacquainted with Joel (Pedro Pascal), Ellie (Bella Ramsey), Tommy (Gabriel Luna), and Maria (Rutina Wesley).
However, Rebecca Ferguson – known for her roles in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Silo, Dune, and much more – does not appear in the show, despite what the credits may have you think.
Is Rebecca Ferguson in The Last of Us Season 2?

No, Rebecca Ferguson doesn’t appear in The Last of Us Season 2.
The credits list her name next to the role of the Stalker, the new breed of infected introduced in Episode 1 that follow and attacks Ellie in the Greenplace Market.
Technically, this isn’t inaccurate – however, it’s a different Rebecca Ferguson. She may be credited as Rebecca, but she more commonly goes by Becky. She joined The Last of Us team in Season 1, credited as a stunt performer on Episodes 3 and 5, and she’s due to appear in at least one more episode in Season 2 (presumably as a different infected).

Ferguson has worked on 48 projects, including Tracker, The Flash, Supergirl, and Deadpool 2.
Understandably, viewers have spotted “Rebecca Ferguson” in the credits and assumed it’s the actress they know. “I had no idea that was Rebecca Ferguson until the closing credits. So… stalkers are hot now?” one user commented.
“Not sure if it’s the same Rebecca Ferguson that we all know and love, but it would be cool if it was,” another wrote. “Just found out the stalker in the grocery store is Rebecca Ferguson. So f**king cooool,” a third wrote.

Interestingly, Episode 1 isn’t listed on Becky Ferguson’s IMDb page, but that doesn’t mean it’s Rebecca Ferguson. Given the appearance of a Stalker could be seen as a spoiler in itself, it could be updated now that the episode has dropped on streaming.
