The Pitt Episode 14 trailer could have already spoiled the identity of the shooter

If you’re binging the new hit hospital drama on Max, you still don’t know who’s behind the mass shooting after the last two episodes. However, The Pitt Episode 14 preview might have given it away.

We’re almost at the end of the binge-worthy TV show’s first season, but it’s the most recent storyline that’s had us on the edge of our seats. At the start of Episode 12, the ER was flooded with victims of a mass shooting from a local music festival, sending doctors into meltdown.

By Episode 13, it was suspected the shooter would soon head in their direction, but there’s still no clear idea of who the perpetrator is. Heading into Episode 14, it’s still a mystery.

Or is it? Thanks to The Pitt Episode 14 promo, we might have already seen who our shooter is before the official reveal.

Did The Pitt Episode 14 trailer reveal David as the shooter?

Thanks to the below promo for next week’s episode, fans think David could the music festival shooter. We see a pickup truck arrive at the hospital surrounded by armed shooters, followed by a man (presumably Dr. Robby) cornering David in a room. Interestingly, we can only see his head. But is this all just a red herring?

David has come back to the hospital to get his mom, but it’s the above detail that’s prompted fans to think there’s something more going on in the full episode.

As one pointed out on Reddit, “This is very tenuous but the split second we see of David in the promo may have spoiled the identity of the shooter. They made a point not to show his hands but if you look closely at the movement of his arms and this shot in particular, he doesn’t appear to be in handcuffs anymore. He wouldn’t be able to move his arms like that or have his left arm fully extended.”

“There is no way the police uncuff him if there’s any chance he’s the shooter. Very likely that this scene takes place after they’ve apprehended the shooter, potentially off screen,” they continued.

Obviously, the truck and David’s scene so close together in the trailer makes it look like he is guilty, and it’s clear he’s our prime suspect heading into Episode 14. He’s obviously been left distraught by whatever it is he’s being told, which could be as simple as being admitted to psychiatric.

We’ve got two options here – David really is our guy, or he’s being set up to fail. Being hounded with so much online and office speculation, he’s bound to suffer one way or another. His mom appears to be another issue, hugely affecting where David’s head is at. But what does she have to tell him?

Are there any other theories? None as watertight as David. As one YouTube comment suggests, “The shooter might be that guy who punched the nurse, intentionally shooting/offing people to overwhelm the ER staff. Idk. I don’t believe it was that lady’s kid.”
