Tensions are higher than they ever have been in Port Haven, and by the looks of it, The Way Home Season 3 Episode 8 is about to break out hearts even more.
As always, it’s all kicking off in The Way Home. Teen Colton surprised everyone by being revealed as a time traveler in Episode 2, though we’ve still got no idea why he’s suddenly jumping between timelines. Granda Fern likely has the answers, but she’s hardly making much sense.
Things aren’t much calmer in the present though. Thomas has appeared out of nowhere, throwing Kat’s relationship with Elliot into question. He’s already kissed ex-wife Emma, which hasn’t exactly gone down well anyway.
Instead of solving things, the binge-worthy TV show is obviously adding more fuel to the fire – and Episode 8’s most emotional moment has already been revealed.
Adult Colton returns in The Way Home Season 3 Episode 8
If you were watching the commercials on the Hallmark Channel last night, you likely saw a teaser for The Way Home Season 3 Episode 8 – which included adult Colton sitting at the Landry dining table.

Why he’s risen from the dead to make an appearance is currently unknown, but fans are already weighing in with guesses. If they’re right, it’s going to be the season’s most emotional moment yet.
“I think Del is talking to imaginary Colton in the promo like she has been the last couple of years,” one posted on Facebook, with a second agreeing: “If Jacob can come back, I think Colton will come back also.”

A third weighed in: “[That’s] the shirt he was wearing when he told Del he’ll explain everything, as well as the shirt he was wearing in the accident.”
If we are following the pattern of previous seasons, it’s most likely Colton is talking to Del – and he’s got good reason to. Season 3 has been exploring their teenage years, having first met and fallen in love in 1974.

By the end of Episode 7, Del has seemingly left Port Haven for good, and it’s broken Colton’s heart. With hindsight, we know they end up together… but how does it happen?
In the present, Del’s got a huge chip on her shoulder. She’s the only member of the Landry family who refuses to time travel, blaming the pond – and Alice and Kat’s use of it – on all the issues being dragged into the present.
Now, there’s another layer of drama. We know teen Colton went to visit Jacob in 1814, meaning there’s a chance he knew he hadn’t been killed throughout the couple’s entire adult lives. If this is true, will Del have it out with him in some way?
