Whether you’re in the US or abroad, the 2025 Ryder Cup is this weekend’s must-watch sports event – and there’s an easy way you can get access the USA Network and stream it for free.
Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas teed off this afternoon, the first drives of a stacked weekend of golf. On Team Europe, you have the likes of Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood hoping to retain the championship (albeit this time, it’s on American soil).
Here’s the thing: loads of bars will have it on their TVs this weekend, and clips will be uploaded across social media. However, if you want to watch all three days of coverage out of Bethpage Black, you’ll need a cable subscription.
Don’t worry, you don’t need to fork out the money for another direct debit; you probably have enough streaming services as it is. There’s another way.
How to watch the Ryder Cup on USA Network for free
With the Ryder Cup’s coverage divided between USA Network and NBC across Friday and the rest of the weekend, you can watch the whole competition with a free trial to several on-demand platforms.
For example, you can get a five-day free trial to DIRECTV, which includes access to NBC and USA.
Similarly, YouTube TV offers a five-day trial that’ll allow you to stream all of the Ryder Cup, and Fubo also offers a trial.
Each one will require you to sign up for an account and possibly even input your payment details. You won’t be charged until the trial period ends, so just remember to cancel your plan after the Ryder Cup ends, or you could be slapped with a hefty monthly fee (DIRECTV costs $50 per month, and the others are even more expensive).

Now, it could get a little bit more complicated if you’re outside the US. In the UK, Sky Sports (and Now TV) has the streaming rights, and it doesn’t have a straightforward free trial.
Not to fret, you can get access to YouTube TV, DIRECTV, and Fubo with a VPN. If you don’t have a one, there are several options; some paid, some free, with varying levels of security and features. If you’re new to this, check out our guide on how to use a VPN for streaming.
Ryder Cup coverage kicks off at 7am ET each day and ends at 6pm. So, go sort out how you’ll watch it and get comfy.
