With Love Con Revenge on Netflix now, here’s what you need to know about where the original Tinder Swindler, Simon Leviev, is now.
Cecilie Fjellhøy was one of many women Leviev defrauded, leaving her $250,000 in debt. She told her story in the explosive 2022 Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler, and now she’s using her experiences to help others.
Love Con Revenge is a new docu-series in which Fjellhøy teams up with private investigator Brianne Joseph to help a number of romance scammer victims reclaim their lives.
While Leviev is nothing more than a ghost from the past, Love Con Revenge raises the question of where the Tinder Swindler is today.
Where is ‘Tinder Swindler’ Simon Leviev now?
The latest reports suggest Simon Leviev, 34, is now living in Dubai. Earlier this year, he was said to have been preparing to launch his “next multi-billion dollar venture very soon,” although there’s been no news on this since.
The 2022 Netflix documentary revealed that Leviev – real name Shimon Yehuda Hayut – scammed various women out of approximately $10 million between 2017 and 2019. He had been in trouble with the law in the past, having been charged in his home country Israel in 2011 for cashing stolen checks.
In 2015, he was sentenced in Finland for defrauding three women. After an early release, he returned to Israel and changed his legal name to Simon Leviev, only to flee again. While traveling around Europe, he used his Tinder profile to find new victims.
Finally, in 2019, he was arrested by Interpol in Greece after using a forged passport and was later sentenced to 15 months in prison in Israel. However, again he was let out early, being freed five months later due to the pandemic.

Despite the mountain of evidence and accounts against him, Leviev tried (and failed) to launch a TV career and claimed he wasn’t a scammer.
In February 2025, Ahlan Dubai uploaded a video to TikTok showing the Tinder Swindler emerging from a car in Dubai. Alongside this, they wrote, “Apparently, he is launching his next multi-billion dollar venture very soon.”
As said, there’s been no big news on his venture since then. Both his Instagram account and TikTok page are set to private.
