Will Trent Season 3 just set up two explosive cliffhangers ahead of ‘worrying’ finale

The cast of Will Trent

We’re now only a week away from the finale, and things have just taken a dramatic turn for the uncertain. Will Trent Season 3 Episode 17 set up two huge cliffhangers that could change everything.

If you’ve watched even one episode of the binge-worthy TV show, you’ll know our hero’s past is a complicated one. Abandoned and forced to endure a harsh upbringing in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system, Will has been intent on making a difference ever since.

These days, you can find him as a Special Agent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, but that doesn’t mean the trauma of his past has fully left him. With one episode left to go until the Season 3 finale, Will Trent’s latest instalment has made that very clear.

On top of that, his on-off relationship with Angie is about to face its biggest challenge yet, with two major cliffhangers poised to change the new TV show for good.

Caleb and Angie take the spotlight in shocking Will Trent Season 3 cliffhangers

Not only did Will Trent Season 3 Episode 17 reveal Angie is pregnant with Dr. Seth McDale’s baby, but Bradford County Sheriff Caleb Rousard was also confirmed to be Will’s biological father.

Obviously, both of these storylines have the power to change – or derail – Will for good. For Angie, it’s bound to affect her too. She’s just as surprised as anyone else that she’s pregnant, following on from the death of her mother and subsequent alcohol relapse. She’s also got previous trauma surrounding sexual assault, which could change how she approaches her pregnancy.

Then there’s Will and Caleb. Both are unsure how to feel about the DNA results, and we can’t yet tell how the reveal is going to affect their personal and professional relationships.

Amazingly, though, neither of these storylines – while likely chaotic in their own ways – are the reason why next week’s finale is shaping up to be ‘worrying.’ A bio-hazard storyline is on the horizon, with Ormewood, Seth, Nico, and Betty stuck in a locked down hospital.

Star Erika Christensen told TV Line, “[Fans] should be very worried. We uncover through the finale how easily communicable and how fast-acting this bioweapon is. Everyone’s in danger, especially if they’re in the hospital, stuck with all these people who’ve already been infected, so they’re all at great risk.”

It remains to be seen if everyone comes out the other side alive, and whether Will’s relationships with Caleb and Angie can pull through. If 9-1-1 Season 8 has been anything to go by… we shouldn’t hold our breath.
