The plane that crashed in Yellowjackets had a lot of passengers, and alongside our main gang, there are still some team members we only just meet in the Season 3 premiere.
The horror series went full cannibal in Season 2 as the girls fought to survive, while in the present-day, Shauna, Taissa, Misty, Natalie, Lottie, and Van reunited, culminating in a jaw-dropping finale that saw adult Natalie’s accidental death.
Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 1 deals with the aftermath of these events, showing adult Natalie’s funeral and teen Natalie’s leadership as the new chosen one.
Alongside the main cast and characters of the show, there are a whole host of team members who survived the plane crash and are living in the wilderness. So, here are the other Yellowjackets girls, including the newbies introduced in Season 3.
Mari – Alexa Barajas

Mari is likely the side character you know the best, as many fans have theorised that she is the “Pit Girl” from the first episode of the show. Whether or not that’s true, she’s still somewhat antagonistic to the other girls, namely Misty and Crystal in Season 2, who she can be rather mean to.
In Yellowjackets Season 3, she plays a more prominent role, and is now embroiled in an angry feud with Shauna. Judging by Season 3 Episode 2, her problems are far from over.
Mari is played by Alexa Barajas, whose other acting credits include The Flash, Romi, and Charmed.
Akilah – Nia Sondaya

Akilah also gets a bit more screen time in Season 2, adding to the group dynamic overall. Not only is she momentarily tasked with helping deliver Shauna’s baby – as it’s revealed she has a baby nephew waiting at home – but she also gains another little friend in the second chapter in the form of a mouse, who she hides from the other girls.

In Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 2, her fondness of animals continues. And since it’s summer and there’s plenty of food, she doesn’t have to worry about the other girls eating her furry friends.
Akilah is played by Nia Sondaya, who can also be spotted in Truth Be Told and Bel-Air.
Gen – Mya Lowe

Not much was known about Gen in Yellowjackets – in fact she didn’t get a name until Season 2. Much like with the other girls, the wilderness was clearly getting to her, as she was willing to let Natalie be killed and eaten in the second chapter.
However, she plays a more prominent role in Season 3, with the premiere revealing that she’s now a key animal hunter after receiving training from Nat.
Mya Lowe, who plays Mya, certainly has the acting chops for a meatier role, as she has also appeared in Riverdale, A Million Little things, and My Life with the Walter Boys.
Melissa – Jenna Burgess

Like her best friend Gen, Melissa only got a name in Season 2, when she became recognizable by her pink baseball cap. And like her best friend she gets a more prominent role in the new chapter. Notably, she forms an alliance with Shauna, and their friendship takes an unexpected turn at the end of Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 2.
Jenna Burgess plays Melissa, who can also be seen in The Night Agent and Lies Between Friends.
Robin – Anisa Harris

Robin is one of the plane crash survivors, but Yellowjackets Season 3 is the first time we meet her. Little is known about her character at this time, with the premiere showing her joining in with a friendly game of ‘capture the bone’. No doubt we’ll learn more in the episodes to come.
Robin is played by Anisa Harris, whose other acting credits include The Power and The Twilight Zone reboot series.
Britt – Silvana Estifanos

Another newcomer is Britt, who much like Robin, we don’t know a huge deal about just yet. She’s also seen joining in the game in Season 3 Episode 1, and has been a part of the wilderness gang since their fateful crash.
Britt is played by Silvana Estifanos, who you may recognise from The Irrational, A Million Little Things, and Nancy Drew.
Yellowjackets Season 3 Episodes 1-2 are streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime now, with Episode 3 set to drop on February 21. You can also read about the true story the show is based on and how long the girls were in the wilderness for.
