Streamer Tectone believes that his recent ban was overturned by Twitch due to backlash from fans about it.
On April 26, former OTK member Tectone was hit with a ban from Twitch. As usual, the Amazon-owned platform didn’t publicly disclose the reason for the suspension, or its length, but the streamer did a few days later.
He revealed that he had been banned for insulting fellow Twitch streamer Frogan. “Yes, I got banned for 2 weeks for simply calling frogan a fat piece of sh*t. I’m not sorry to be honest and I stand by what I said,” Tectone posted on X (formerly Twitter). “However going forward, I’ll do my best to not bring her up again.”
The streamer also claimed that it was “crazy” that he was banned for that and suggested streamers like Hasan and Denims say “10000x worse” things and “don’t even get a warning.”
Tectone says Twitch suspension lifted for “good behavior”
As noted, Tectone’s ban was overturned after a few days, and he now believes that Twitch was pushed to reverse the suspension due to pressure from fans.
“I got my suspension lifted for good behavior,” he posted on April 28, announcing his imminent return to streaming on Twitch.
“Ima be real I don’t believe I would’ve been unbanned early without all yall supporting me online as well as my YouTube livestream debut,” he added. “To all yall who had my back, I appreciate the f*ck outta yall.”

While the former OTK streamer did claim that others haven’t received warnings, Hasan was banned by Twitch at the start of March for a day.
The platform has made some tweaks around bans, including having more clarity on specific reasons. Yet, it appears as if it is still on streamers to announce the reason for their ban.
