Best controller settings

If you want to play your best in Battlefield 6, you’ll need to dial in the best controller settings possible.

While you can use the best classes, guns, and PC settings, you’ll still need to be able to hit your shots to see any success. So, from infantry to vehicle gameplay, here are the best Battlefield 6 controller settings to get the most from the game’s movement, aim assist, and more.

Global

Infantry

Most of these settings are down to personal preference, but we recommend starting with a sensitivity of around 50 and to keep adjusting until you feel comfortable.

Vehicles

It’s worth setting the vehicle sensitivity slightly lower than your Infantry so they’re easier to control. Again, around 40 is a good start, then keep adjusting from there.

Aim Assist

Don’t touch any of the Aim Assist settings – you want to get as much Aim Assist as possible when playing on controller.

Best Button Layout

The best Controller Button Layout for Battlefield 6 is Alternate. This swaps the default crouch and melee buttons, meaning you now crouch and slide by pressing the right analog stick, and melee with Circle/B. Since you’ll be crouching and sliding a lot more than you’ll be meleeing, it makes sense for it to be at your fingertips.

It’s also much better for vehicles, as it means you’ll brake and accelerate with L2 and R2/LT and RT, which should feel much more familiar. However, transport vehicles are already like this by default, so you can leave it as-is.

Aim

You shouldn’t have to touch Aim Sensitivity again here, as you’ve already adjusted it through global. However, it’s worth setting your FOV to somewhere around 105 as this provides a great balance between spatial awareness and visual appeal.

Vehicles

You can leave all the Vehicle controls as default, as we have already changed the important settings through the Global menus.

Controller Tuning

Controller Vibration

If you’re looking to be as competitive as possible in Battlefield 6, then it’s worth turning Controller Vibration Off. However, you can turn it back on for the campaign to have the most immersive experience.

Controller Right Stick

You’ll want to turn Deadzones down as far as they can go without causing stick drift. The lower it is, the more responsive, but if you have an older controller, you might find the crosshair drifting across the screen if it’s too low.
