Battlefield 6 Guides

Best Engineer class setup

Vehicles play a huge part in Battlefield, and the Engineer class is all about going toe-to-toe with enemy tanks and jets while keeping your own team’s alive.

The best class prioritizes taking out enemy tanks and vehicles alongside protecting your own.

Best Engineer weapons & gadgets in BF6

best engineer class setup in battlefield 6

Primary Weapon: SGX (SMG)

The best choice for the Engineer’s weapon is the SGX SMG. It’s the absolute best weapon in its class, and given the added boost to hipfire accuracy, you’ll be a menace in close-range encounters without even having to aim down sight.

Secondary Weapon: P18 (Sidearm)

The P18 is the only option when it comes to Secondary Weapons in the Beta. While it’s a solid last resort when your SMG runs out of ammo, you definitely don’t want to be caught running around with the pistol equipped.

Gadget 1: Unguided Rocket Launcher

We highly recommend selecting both Launchers when playing as an Engineer in the BF6 Beta. This will keep you well-equipped to deal with any threats as they appear. In this case, the RPG7-V2 Unguided Rocket Launcher is exceptional at taking out enemy tanks.

A few quick rockets should do the trick in most cases, unless the tank is being repaired while you reload. Place your shots well, and you can even take out small clusters of enemy soldiers on foot.

Gadget 2: Surface-To-Air Launcher

To round out the anti-vehicle package, the SLM-93A Spire Surface-To-Air Launcher is a must-pick. This is the go-to Gadget for taking out vehicles in the sky, be it a pesky Helicopter or even a Jet soaring through the clouds.

Using this gadget will take you away from regular gunplay for a few moments as you look up and time your shots, but rest assured, your team will thank you for the sacrifice.

Throwable: Smoke Grenade

Rather than a standard Frag Grenade, we recommend the Smoke Grenade when playing as an Engineer. The idea is to use the smoke as a shield.

By dropping a Smoke Grenade near a friendly vehicle in need of repair, not only are you hiding it from incoming rockets, but you’re hiding yourself as you rush out on foot with the Repair Tool in hand.
