Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Weapon Prestige system explained

The Weapon Prestige system returns in Black Ops 7, giving you even more reason to keep grinding your favorite weapon once you hit the maximum level.

What is Weapon Prestige in BO7?

Once you hit level 50 with any weapon, you have the option to Prestige it, essentially resetting its level and re-locking all of the attachments, with the exception of Optics. This is a slight change from some previous versions of the system, where Prestiging would happen automatically, but you would keep all of your attachments.

So, why would you want to do this? Well, there are some exclusive rewards that are only available using this system, so if you’re a completionist who likes to unlock everything, you’ll need to make use of this system.

Each weapon has two levels of Prestige to work through before you hit Master Prestige. From there, there are 250 levels to grind before you can say you’ve fully mastered that particular weapon.

Rewards

The rewards on offer will be unique to each gun, but we know they will include exclusive attachments, camos, and Charms that can’t be earned any other way. Here’s how it works:

  • Enter Prestige 1: New camo
  • Enter Prestige 2: New camo and weapon-specific charm
  • Master Prestige level 250: New camo

The camos earned can be applied to any weapon, even if you haven’t levelled them up yet.
