Best Clubs builds for Defenders

The addition of Archetypes has changed the way people create their players in EA FC 26‘s Clubs mode, making it more difficult than ever to create the perfect balance between stats and team synergy.

With so many stats, perks, and playstles to consider, it can be a nightmare creating the perfect build, so we’ve done the work for you, and here are some of the best builds for Defenders in Clubs.

Boss build

The CB is the last chance to stop opponents before they try to score a goal, so they should be strong pillars capable of shutting down any incoming attack. But that’s not all, a good CB must be able to read a play and stop it before it unravels.

Don’t forget to improve Strength and Jumping (to win aerial duels). Then focus on Interceptions, Defensive Awareness, and Reactions.

Marauder build

A reliable full-back has to be able to offer support on both sides of the pitch, with a wide anchor on defense and an overlapping threat on attack.

Focus on improving Pace, Defending, Stamina, Crossing, Curve, Dribbling, and Agility attributes.

Progressor build

While the Boss is a more physical anchor and the Marauder presses wide, the Progressor connects defense with attack with high-speed line-breaking passes. This way, your Defender can turn clearances into counters.

Prioritize improving Interceptions, Defensive Awareness, Passing, and Agility first. Then move on to Strength and Jumping to complement.

Engine build

The Engine Archetype is ideal for RWB and LWB as it improves stamina and sprint power. Paired with the Everywhere Specialization (based on quick passes and one-two plays), your player becomes unstoppable.

You can improve your Defender’s power by maxing Acceleration, Sprint Speed, Interception, and Defensive Awareness. If you have Points left, focus on Interceptions, Crossing, and Short Passing.
