How to do a Trivela shot
Trivela shots are lethal in EA FC 26, but pulling them off isn’t as straightforward as it was in last year’s game. Here’s a full guide on how to do them and when they’re most effective.
What is a Trivela?
A Trivela is a powerful shot with the outside of a player’s foot, allowing them to curl the ball around defenders or bend it into the corner from tricky positions. It’s especially useful if you want to avoid using a player’s weak foot, as this type of shot retains all accuracy if done with their strong foot.
Fans of EA FC 25 will remember just how strong it was in last year’s meta, but the devs have made it trickier to do this time around.
How to Trivela
To perform a Trivela shot in FC 26, you need to be controlling a player with the Game Changer PlayStyle. When using one of the right players, simply hold L2 or LT before pressing Circle or B to shoot.
If they’re in the right position, they will use the outside of their boot to bend a shot that starts out wide and quickly curls inside.
To set yourself up for success, Trivelas are most effective when at a roughly 45-degree angle from the net. This is ideal, as the shot will start off wide and swerve back towards goal and, hopefully, nestle in the top or bottom corner.
Anyone without this trait is unable to pull off the technique and will unleash a regular shot no matter what you do. This is drastically different to the returning low driven shot, which can be done by anyone.
