EA FC 26 Guides

How to scout players

EA FC 26 features a large database of players to make transfers from, letting you work to implement your tactical vision throughout your save.

To identify them, you’ll use scouts to analyze players and work out how much they’ll cost.

Scouting explained

Scouting in EA FC 26

As with EA FC 25, the Global Transfer Network offers a host of player recommendations for your required filter. For example, in the screenshot above, Napoli are looking for an Attacker that’s of First Team Quality but can act as a Backup.

While some clubs will suggest ‘Instructions’ when you join as manager, you can set your own, too. You can search players by a variety of factors, including the following:

  • Position
  • Squad Role (Backup, First-Team etc)
  • Player Role
  • PlayStyles
  • Age
  • Contract Length

From the list above, Jeremy Doku is rated between 80 and 99 OVR. You can assign a scout to monitor Doku further, revealing more of his stats as the progression bar fills.

If Deeper Simulation is enabled, you’ll be able to look at additional stats, including goals, assists, and more.

Scouting a player in EA FC 26

Once you select a player, you can select Scout to assign a scout at a cost, or Shortlist the player to be tracked for the foreseeable.

You can also select Team Stats to see the player’s ranking amongst teammates, and whether they’re a first-teamer or may be a backup option keen on a move.

In Doku’s case, he’s rated at 80 OVR, and his primary competition on the LW (his preferred position) would be Phil Foden, so you may be able to entice him to switch clubs.

Shortlisted players can be seen in the Transfer Hub, making it easier to keep an eye on potential targets. When you make an offer, you’ll need to satisfy the selling club’s demands, too.
