How to unlock Transfer Market in Ultimate Team
The Transfer Market is one of the most important features in Ultimate Team, letting you buy and sell players, consumables, and club items. In EA SPORTS FC 26, however, access isn’t available to everyone right away. Here’s how to unlock it this year.
How Graduated Transfer Market access works
Starting with FC 26, Graduated Access applies to all platforms (Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Switch). This system was first tested on PC in late 2024 and is designed to protect the FUT economy while introducing new players gradually. Access to the market, therefore, is broken into two buckets: Returning Players and New Players/Not Eligible.
1. Returning Players
If you played Ultimate Team previously and your account is in good standing, you’ll have immediate access to the Transfer Market the first time you log in to FC 26 on the same platform.
2. New Players or Accounts Without Eligibility
If you’re brand new to FUT, or your account didn’t meet requirements in previous years, the Transfer Market starts out locked.
To unlock it, you need to:
- Complete Foundation Objectives – a set of beginner challenges designed to teach FUT basics.
- Wait a minimum time period – access isn’t instant, even after completing objectives. EA requires a period of gameplay activity before granting full market access.
This logic applies to both players using a copy of the game and also Web App/Companion App players.
