Team of the Week (TOTW)
Team of the Week cards return in EA FC 26, giving fans a steady stream of exciting players to bolster their squad with.
When is new TOTW released?
A new squad arrives every Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. They will be released straight into packs, replacing the previous TOTW for the next seven days.
Crucially, while a player has an active Team of the Week card in packs, their normal item is completely removed. So, for the duration of their time in the team, you will only be able to pack the upgraded black card design.
This is vital for those who like to trade, as it can drastically ramp up the value of a player’s normal item if they’re out of packs for a while. So, keep an eye on the results every weekend and try to stock up on any players who you think might earn a spot.
What are TOTW cards?
As the name suggests, TOTW cards are awarded to the best performers over the most recent weekend of football fixtures. Whether it’s in the domestic league or during the international break, those who steal the headlines with crucial goals or an impressive defensive performance could be selected.
Anyone included receives a special Ultimate Team card with an upgraded rating and boosted stats. The position and PlayStyles may also be altered to reflect what unfolded in the real-life match.
One caveat is that EA tends not to give the same player a TOTW card in back-to-back weeks, so no matter how well they do in the following week, they’re unlikely to be picked again. Anyone who is included in the current or next promo also tends to miss out.
