Pokemon Legends Z-A Pokedex

The Pokemon Legends: Z-A Pokédex brings together a wide variety of classic favorites and powerful evolutions, blending Kanto icons, Johto companions, and modern-era Pokemon into one expansive roster.

From early-game encounters like Pidgey and Bellsprout to late-game powerhouses such as Dragonite, Tyranitar, and Zygarde, the selection feels both nostalgic and fresh. This guide compiles every Pokémon confirmed so far into a simple table, listing their National Dex number, name, and typing, so you can quickly reference which partners are available on your journey through Lumiose City.

If you’re wondering why we excluded abilities above…

Are there abilities in Pokemon Legends Z-A?

No. It was confirmed at the Pokemon World Championships that Abilities are not included in Pokemon Legends Z-A. This decision greatly affects how Mega Evolutions work, since many strategies in past games relied on Ability effects.

The removal follows the approach seen in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, where Abilities were also absent. How this will impact competitive play and the long-term role of Mega Evolutions remains to be seen. We expect when you transfer Pokemon to other games where abilities are present, they will regain their abilities, as seen in the past – such as Pokemon Champions for competitive play.
