Streaming star IShowSpeed has been banned from a mall in Houston, Texas, after massive crowds followed him around the stores.
IShowSpeed started his 35-day streaming tour across the United States back at the very end of August, and it’s already been full of memorable moments. However, like with most of Speed’s tours, fans have caused chaos too.
When he returned to his home state of Ohio, the YouTube and Twitch streamer had to pick up the bill after a fan smashed a restaurant’s window with a headbutt. He has also been confronted by fans for ignoring them amongst massive crowds.
However, during his stop in Houston, Texas, Speed was handed a ban from the Galleria Mall because of how chaotic things had become with viewers following him around.
IShowSpeed confronted by police in Houston mall
Speed had been live for just under an hour when he and his crew were led to a Foot Locker store by security due to the massive crowd.
His security attempted to negotiate with police and mall security on their exit, alerting them to the fact that more fans would turn up the longer that Speed stood around. However, after agreeing their exit strategy, security banned Speed.
“You’re not allowed to come back to the mall, ever, per management,” a woman told the streamer. Another officer told him and his security that Speed had been “too much of a disturbance,” which the YouTuber sarcastically mocked before he and his team left.
The mall has cracked down on content creators appearing on their premises after a TikToker was accused of murdering a 30-year-old Marine veteran back in July.
As per KPRC 2 in Houston, TikToker Justin Joshua Guzman, who goes by @guzmanhimself on social media, alongside Marko Cinan, had been arrested and charged with the murder of Anthony Sanders following a shooting in the parking lot.
